I am Elena Mariska (40) and live with my husband and daughter in Schoorl. It’s a dream place for me, because I had always wanted to live close to the beach.
From a young age, I have had a great fascination with films and television series. It therefore felt natural to study Theatre, Film and Television Studies at Utrecht University. After an internship as a PR Coordinator at Warner Bros. in Amsterdam, I started working as a publicist for several distributors. After a few years, I launched my own PR agency and worked on PR campaigns for well-known DJs, actors, and directors.
I was a sensitive child (Cancer Sun, Pisces Rising). Sometimes I could sense things from other people or had prophetic dreams. At home, I could talk openly about these experiences. At school, however, I found it more difficult and kept my interest in spirituality hidden for a long time. It wasn’t until my thirties that I realized I no longer wanted to separate these worlds and that spirituality was simply a part of who I am.
I immersed myself in Reiki and discovered that I had actually already been practicing it instinctively as a child. It felt very natural and familiar to me. I decided I wanted to do more with it and started searching for a suitable name for my business. Then I remembered the name of my mother’s company: Cosmic Light Center. It turned out that, after all those years, the name had never been claimed. As if it was meant to be, I was able to proudly carry on the legacy.
I took classes in Astrology and, in 2021, decided to enroll in the three-year Palmistry program with Ellen Duim. In 2024, I received my diploma. I am now thrilled to read many hands, and it moves me every single time. It’s fascinating what your hands can reveal about you.
I love dancing, going out for dinner (Italian cuisine is my favorite), traveling, going to the movies, going on adventures, concerts, my friends and family, the beach, the sun, animals, coffee with lots of milk, and walking/hiking.
